Donato Carrisi was born in Puglia, and currently lives in Rome. Following a law degree at university, and further studies in criminology and behavioural science, he became a scriptwriter for TV series and film. He is a contributor to the Corriere della Sera and author of seven international bestselling novels, all published in Italy by Longanesi. Carrisi wrote and presented the Saturday evening prime-time TV programme ‘The Sixth Sense’ on Rai 3. In 2016, Donato announced the launch of his own production company, Gavila, in collaboration with Italy’s Colorado Films. His novel La ragazza nella nebbia (The Girl in the Fog) is now a major international film, starring Toni Servillo and Jean Reno, and is the author’s directorial debut.
