Marcin Wicha
Marcin Wicha (b. 1972) is a graphic artist, the author of several book cover designs, posters and logos. For several years he was a cartoonist at the “Tygodnik Powszechny” weekly. He is one of Poland’s most successful writers of the past few years, the author of a number of bestselling children’s books and the winner of top literary prizes for his adult writing. For Things I Didn’t Throw Out, Marcin Wicha was awarded the Polityka Passport, the Nike Literary Prize, the Gdynia Literary Award and Witold Gombrowicz Literary Award. The English translation was published by Daunt Books Publishing in October 2021 and an excerpt has been published in Asymptote. The book was selected for a PEN Translates Award 2021. Rights have also sold in France (Les Arenes) and Italy (Salani).
