Fabiano Massimi

Fabiano Massimi was born in Modena in 1977 and lives in Formigine, where he manages the local public library. After graduating in Philosophy between Bologna and Manchester, he worked for years as a fiction editor and translator for some of the main Italian publishers (Einaudi, Feltrinelli, Longanesi). He teaches at Scuola Holden, Italy’s most important creative writing school, and writes historical thrillers and contemporary crime published by Longanesi and Mondadori. His debut novel L’angelo di Monaco has appeared in 10 languages, garnering awards both in Italy and abroad (most recently, the renowned Grand Prix de Lecteurs in France). A German-French TV series is currently in production. With Longanesi, he published The Demons of Berlin in 2021, and If Forgiveness Exists in 2023. He is also the author of The Montecristo Club (2021) and Live Hidden (2022), which were published by Mondadori. His latest novel, The Furies of Venice, was published in 2024 by Longanesi.
