Kirsten Boie’s THABO – DETEKTIV & GENTLEMAN: DER NASHORN-FALL published today
22nd February, 2016
Happy Publication Day to Kirsten Boie, whose latest children’s title THABO – DETEKTIV & GENTLEMAN: DER NASHORN-FALL is published by Oetinger in Germany today.
The first title in a trilogy for children ages 10 and over, Boie’s story follows Thabo, a young boy living on his uncle’s South African game reserve, whose life-long dream is to become a private investigator. Unfortunately for Thabo, there isn’t much crime where he lives – at least not until he and his uncle discover a dead rhino, killed by poachers for its horn, while showing tourists around the reserve one day. Immediately, Thabo and his best friend Sifiso set about finding out who could have done such a terrible thing.
Thabo’s unique voice draws the reader deep into the African landscape and into the reality of the people and children who live there. Both compelling and engaging, this is a new masterpiece from Kirsten Boie.
