FRANKENSTEIN IN BAGHDAD awarded Le Grand Prix de L'Imaginaire 2017

Many congratulations to Ahmed Saadawi on winning Le Grand Prix de L’Imaginaire 2017 in the Foreign Novel category for FRANKENSTEIN IN BAGHDAD (Manshurat al-Jamal, 2013).
Le Grand Prix de l’Imaginaire is the oldest French prize still in existence since 1974 and is one of the most prestigious literary prizes, with previous winners including Ken Liu, Andri Snaer Magnason, Peter F. Hamilton and Paolo Bacigalupi. Following the announcement of the winners in each category, the award will be presented at the Festival Etonnants Voyageurs in Saint-Malo, on the 4th June.
FRANKENSTEIN IN BAGHDAD will be published in the English language in January 2018 by Oneworld in the UK, and Viking in the US.
