Jumi Akinfenwa is a London-based writer and music supervisor. Her work focuses heavily on music and cultural identity and has been featured in a variety of publications such as The Guardian, VICE and gal-dem. She has music supervised projects across film, TV and advertising for companies including Netflix, Amazon MGM Studios and Nike.

In 2020, she was listed as one of MHP’s 30 to Watch, PITCH Magazine’s Super people and shesaidso’s Black British Women Making Music Moves. She currently sits on the D&I Committee for the UK and European Guild of Music Supervisors.

Jumi is an experienced public speaker, appearing at events such as Lost Village Festival and Reeperbahn Festival, as well as on podcasts and radio stations including Switched On Pop and Worldwide.FM.
