Denai Moore
Denai Moore is an acclaimed British-Jamaican musician turned chef. Denai’s pop-up, Dee’s Table, has received praise from Metro, Vice and Dojo, and was featured on Jamie Oliver’s television series Jamie’s Meat-Free Meals. As a recipe developer, Denai has written for the Guardian, and has held cooking demonstrations for Time Out. In 2022, she was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30.
Denai predominately cooks from a place of nostalgia, combining her food memories with her love of international cuisines. Her unique cooking style speaks to a new generation of home cooks, culinary rule breakers
and restaurant goers, as well as to those reconnecting with their roots in a new way.
Her first cookbook, Plentiful: Vegan Jamaican Recipes to Repeat, was published by Hardie Grant Books in April 2023.
“Moore is the real thing: a proper eater and true cook with real flair for flavour; her recipes, along with her writing about them, are a-brim with such gleeful generosity, fusing the ingredients and traditions of Jamaica with foods of other cultures with Ottolenghi-like brio but entirely authentic to Moore’s own identity and appetite.”
