Authors

Birge Amondson was born in Zweibrücken, Germany, and studied communications and film theory at the Berlin University of the Arts. She worked in programming and development for various cultural institutions, including the Berlin International Film Festival, Germany-Land of Ideas, and the Goethe-Institut in Accra, Karachi, and New York. Birge also lived for several years in Los Angeles where she worked as a travel writer for a New York Times Company.

Birge was a fellow of the German Academy for Children’s Media in 2023/2024, where she developed her debut novel. She lives with her family in Berlin and McMinnville, Oregon.
