Editions Stock celebrate Carson McCullers centenary in Paris

To mark 2017 as the centenary of Carson McCullers’ birth, her French publisher Editions Stock has released a set of beautiful new editions. The launch was celebrated on Monday 15th May, with an evening dedicated to McCullers’ life and work at the Maison de la Poésie in Paris. Actress Eva Ionesco and the author and critic Nelly Kaprielian, both of whom have contributed prefaces to the new editions, took part in a conversation with the editor-in-chief of Le Monde, Josyane Savigneau. There was also a reading from one of McCullers’ books by French actress Nathalie Richard.
