Azerbaijan | Belarus | Eastern Armenian | Estonia | Georgia | Kazakhstan | Kyrgyzstan | Latvia | Lithuania | Tadjikistan | Turkmenistan | Ukraine | Uzbekistan

Our Director, Tatjana Zoldnere, joined Andrew Nurnberg Associates Baltic in 1998. Formerly a journalist and literary translator, her first passion was French and German literature and culture.

We licence translation rights across the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and into the rapidly expanding markets of Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus. In 2018 we began actively selling Azerbaijani, Eastern Armenian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Tadjik and Uzbek rights across the ex-Soviet countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

We present new titles to publishers in our beautiful offices in central Riga and regularly travel to regional and international bookfairs, keeping in close contact with our clients.

We recently made the most wonderful deal for Three Women by Lisa Taddeo with Baltos Lankos in Lithuanian on behalf of Curtis Brown UK for an exceptional advance for the territory. The same title was also a hit with the Estonians, Rahva Raamat. In Ukraine and Estonia we also sold Permanent Record by Edward Snowden to KM Book Group and Tanapaev respectively, on behalf of Farrar, Straus and Giroux (USA).

Earlier this year we sold G.R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones in Kazakhstan (The Lotts Agency), Origin by Dan Brown in Uzbekistan (SJGA), and The Green Mile by Stephen King in Armenia (The Lotts Agency).
