Naoise Mac Sweeney
Born in London to Chinese and Irish parents, Naoíse Mac Sweeney worked in international development and as a model before pursuing an academic career. She received her PhD in classics from Cambridge University in 2007, and is now an Associate Professor of Ancient History at Leicester, having previously held positions at Cambridge and Harvard. Her latest book, Troy: Myth, City, Icon, was published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2018, and charts the changing meaning of the Trojan War myth over three millennia. It was shortlisted for a PROSE award.
