The Team

Doug is Managing Director of Andrew Nurnberg Associates International Ltd, a network of twelve literary agencies in non-Anglophone markets. He is also a literary agent and board director and at Andrew Nurnberg Associates, London.

He was born in and lives in Edinburgh. He read History at University College London. He worked in publishing and cultural relations for sixteen years before joining Andrew Nurnberg Associates in 2017. He has a passion for experimental literature, literature in translation, serious non-fiction and graphic novels.

He is a Trustee and Director of the UNESCO Edinburgh City of Literature Trust and previously contributed to Soho House’s Creative Mentor Network, the boards of independent publisher Penned in the Margins, welfare charity The Book Trade Charity and the UK national literature agency Pop Up Projects CIC.
