Joanne Rush was born in 1983. She holds a PhD in Renaissance Literature from Cambridge University. She also studied in Rome and Paris, and completed an internship at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. A frequent traveller in Eastern Europe, she worked in Bosnia-Herzegovina as assistant director of a multilingual Twelfth Night.
Joanne’s short story Guests won The Fiction Desk’s 2013 ghost stories competition and has been anthologised in Best British Short Stories 2014 and Ghost: 100 Stories to Read with the Lights On (2015).
