We are delighted to announce that SOMMERBY by Kirsten Boie has been awarded the Zürcher Kinderbuchpreis 2018 prize. This is an important annual Swiss Children’s Book Award, the jury for which consists of both adults and children.

A quiet book has won, a story which sets an antidote in our fast-moving age of digital media; a novel which slows time down and asks for reflection. This book, however, is much more than just a critical examination of the digital world. It is a beautiful family story, a book about friendship, about living together, and a plea for a mindful dealing with nature.
