LOVE SONG wins Goldsboro Books Romantic Novel of the Year award

Many congratulations to Sophia Bennett, whose YA novel LOVE SONG (Chicken House, 2015) was named 2017 Young Adult Romantic Novel of the Year and the overall winner of the Goldsboro Books Romantic Novel of the Year at last night’s Romantic Novelists’ Association Awards.

Selected out of the seven category winners, this year is only the second time in the award’s history that a YA book has been named Romantic Novel of the Year, with the judging panel praising Bennett’s uplifting love story as, ‘is an intelligent and thoughtful read which handles the all-consuming emotion of a first crush rather beautifully.’

Sophia is the author of the internationally bestselling Threads series, as well as You Don’t Know Me (2013), The Castle (2014) and The Look (2016).  Her latest YA novel, Following Ophelia, was published by Stripes on 9th March.
