Elena Varvello's CAN YOU HEAR ME? selected for PEN Translates 2017

Elena Varvello’s CAN YOU HEAR ME? has been selected for the English PEN Translates award, as announced on Bookbrunch this morning. Originally published in Italian by Einaudi in May 2016 under the title LA VITA FELICE, Varvello’s novel has since been translated into English by Alex Valente and will be published in the UK by Two Roads on 13th July.
As one of eighteen titles selected for the list of recipients, the PEN Translates awards are grants to publishers to cover the English language translation costs. The books will appear on the English PEN World Bookshelf website, in partnership with Foyles.
