BROKEN SKY wins at The Leeds Book Awards 2017

23rd May, 2017

Congratulations to Lee Weatherly on winning the 14-16 age category at this year’s Leeds Book Awards with her dystopian novel, BROKEN SKY (Usborne, 2016), at an awards ceremony in Leeds last week.

Established in 2009, the award is a collaboration between Leeds School Library Service and Leeds Public Libraries, which gives pupils the opportunity to vote on their favourite children’s and young people’s books in three age categories – ages 9-11, 11-14 and 14-16.

BROKEN SKY is the first instalment in a trilogy from Weatherly, set in a distorted 1940s America, with the second and third instalments – DARKNESS FOLLOWS and BLACK MOON – published by Usborne in October 2016 and March 2017, respectively.
