Matt Brown

Matt has been a radio and television broadcaster for just over fifteen years, presenting some of the UK's most popular shows, such as Nickelodeon, The Big Breakfast and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, although he would readily admit that during those fifteen years he has also worked on some of the UK's worst ever shows too! For the last five years he has been getting up at 3.46am to host his own breakfast radio show. As a result of this he has perfected the art of being able to sleep almost anywhere. His wife and children are not amused by this, particularly when it’s in a restaurant.

Working on TV and radio has meant that Matt has done some really cool things. He has hung out with hundreds of the most famous people in the world, from Will Smith and Victoria Beckham to Iggy Pop and Kermit the frog. He has been strapped to the top of planes, driven huskies in the Arctic Circle, sat in a space shuttle and held snakes in the jungle. He was also once bitten by a dolphin, a moment that he claimed “changed everything”.

Matt has written four books about Compton Valance, a ten-year-old boy who accidentally creates his own time machine, published by Usborne.

Matt currently writes his stories in a shed in his garden in Buckinghamshire.  To keep up to date with Matt, find him on Facebook or follow him on Twitter @frazzledaddy.
